You’ve gotta love advertising! Whilst casually responding to an email I came across this ad hanging out on my screen.
I love how it is targeted at ‘Single Moms’ … the image looks like something out of Lolita

A while back I went to see a preview screening of first time feature film director, Daniel Barber’s Harry Brown.

The film stars musician, Plan B as the rowdy, violent Noel and Micheal Caine playing Harry Brown, an old chap living in a violent hell hole.

The film was introduced by ‘The Man’ himself, Micheal Caine… This has to be one of those token moments in life which you never forget.

I don’t want to critique the film, but all I can say is that it was great and one of the best British films I’ve seen for a long time!

As I walked away from the film there was one thing that stuck with me, that was Sean Harris‘ performance.

He plays Switch, the gun/drug dealer with a sex and heroin habit. I won’t ruin it for you but there is a key scene, he turns to Harry Brown, his body movement, his face, his posture, his voice, everything, he just makes your skin tingle with fear. I honestly cannot say I have ever been so encapsulated in fear by an actor’s performance! I would recommend watching this film purely for this scene!
